INTRODUCTION:

• SINDNet is the Network of 46 registered Parties/Organizations/Groups working in District Mirpurkhas. Previously the SPO "Strengthening Participatory Organization" Sindh Hyderabad has trained 13 NGOs (Non-Government Organizations) of Mirpurkhas district in subject "Development Planning and Management" (DPM) for one year Graduation. After successful completion of this training, these 13 NGOs felt a need of Coordination between each other. There was also a need of a Network of NGOs on district level in Mirpurkhas District. Keeping in view these facts, on 19th Sept.2003, these 13 DPM Graduate organizations jointly formed a Network named "SOCIO INSTITUTIONS AND NATURAL RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT NET"(SINDNet) at SPO office Hyderabad.
• After the separation of Umerkot District; Three Umerkot based organizations formed their own Network while, remaining seven organizations decided to invite other registered organizations other than DPM Graduates to join this Network.
• SINDNet was founded to work on different kinds of issues. Last year, SINDNet started a Research on system of irrigation and hurdles in distribution of irrigation water in Mirpurkhas district. SINDNet also planned to work on removing the hurdles in Education.

THEME:

• Development of District Mirpurkhas.
• Evaluate the predicaments through the participatory approach and get efforts to solve them.
• Conserve our Natural Resources with the involvement of community.

OBJECTIVE:

• To strengthen the developmental organizations of the area through their capacity building.
• To incorporate the communities for the conservation and development of natural resources of the area.
• To evaluate the problems of the area and solve these problems through participatory approach.
• To bring awareness in the communities regarding the available resources and their better utilization.
• To keep complete knowledge, approach and contact the organizations and institutions for coordination and necessary support.
